Job Title: UX/UI Designer (Senior 4-7 Years)

Location: Sweden/US

Working Mode: Hybrid/Remote

Duration: 6-12 month contract

Background:

We are a cross-functional team responsible for the front-end commerce experience. We help users explore their home furnishing wishes and find the right offers while continuously improving ease of shopping and conversion.

We’re looking for a UX/UI consultant who pairs strong eCommerce and visual design skills with excellent collaboration, adaptability, and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will enhance the user journey, leveraging their expertise to boost conversion on CLIENT’S US eCommerce platform.

The consultant is expected to be assigned to one of the movements like personalization, adaptive journeys, and product recommendations, and to work closely with 1-2 product teams to deliver expected output.

Consultants will be joining a group of 10+ designers working on the web experience.

Technical Skills & Knowledge:

  1. eCommerce Expertise:
    1. Demand: Solid understanding of eCommerce UX best practices with a strong portfolio of successful user experiences designed to drive conversion.
    2. Desire: Experience with large-scale retail brands and familiarity with CLIENT’S.
  2. Data-Driven UX Design:
    1. Demand: Understanding of web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, Content Square) and A/B testing platforms. Skilled in interpreting data to make UX design recommendations.
    2. Desire: Familiarity with tools specific to conversion rate optimization.
  3. Visual Design Skills:
    1. Demand: Strong visual design skills with experience in Figma. Ability to create high-quality, visually engaging interfaces that align with brand guidelines.
    2. Desire: Experience with CLIENT’S design language or similar modular design systems in a large-scale retail setting.
  4. Agile Development Environment:
    1. Demand: Prior experience working within an Agile framework, with a comfort level in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
    2. Desire: Ability to deliver high-quality designs that work well within CLIENT’S tech stack.

Required Soft Skills:

  1. Knowledge of the US Consumer Market:
    1. Demand: Strong understanding of US consumer behavior, preferences, and cultural trends to tailor UX and design choices effectively.
    2. Desire: Experience working directly with US-based user research or demographic insights specific to retail or eCommerce.
  2. Analytical & Problem-Solving Abilities:
    1. Demand: Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make data-backed design recommendations.
    2. Desire: Ability to proactively identify UX bottlenecks and provide creative solutions to improve the user journey.
  3. Collaboration & Communication:
    1. Demand: Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting ideas effectively to stakeholders across multiple departments.
    2. Desire: Empathetic listener who can incorporate feedback from diverse perspectives, including those of global team members.
  4. Adaptability & Flexibility:
    1. Demand: Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
    2. Desire: Growth-oriented, staying up-to-date on UX and eCommerce trends to bring fresh insights to the team.
