Are you a media creative with strong technical skills? Do you like the pace of live events, and creating high-quality content? Are you good with students and excited to help them learn? Would you want to work in a small, supportive nonprofit where these skills make a difference for the community? This position might be for you. This is a part-time position with the potential for full time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Youth Video Instructor – This position will work with our Programs & Operations Coordinator to prepare and execute the FastTV after school program. This involves working with middle school students to film, edit, and learn about the world of TV production.
TV Sport Producer – This position will monitor the setup & breakdown of live sports programming, with the guidance of the Station Manager. Currently, women’s basketball is the only sport we support, but a “Game of the Week” will be expected as we move forward. *Knowledge of Blackmagic ATEM systems is a plus.
School Committee Meeting Producer – This position will handle the bi-weekly school committee meeting capture at the Farley Auditorium. This will be a live switched event conducted through a Teams meeting, captured to disk for archiving, and eventually broadcast to FECtv Live.
Other media production projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- 1+ years of video/TV production experience including camera work, audio, lighting, and studio productions; a Bachelor’s Degree or certification(s) preferred.
- Demonstrable track record of creating high-quality, innovative work.
- Thorough capability with Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Knowledge of Blackmagic ATEM or other multicam systems.
- Must have the ability to troubleshoot A/V devices on site.
- Capable with computers (Basic networking knowledge a plus).
- Familiarity with cameras: Manual settings & audio as well as recording & output frame rates.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Capacity to independently learn software and hardware.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and overall good people skills (Portuguese or Spanish a plus).
- Genuine interest in and enthusiasm for the Framingham community with a commitment to using media to empower underserved voices.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to safely drive a company production truck.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment up to fifty pounds.
