This recruitment will remain active for a period of one year, from the position opening date. If there is no longer a need to fill, the position may be closed sooner, and applicants will be notified.
This is a continuous recruitment to fill part-time and temporary faculty assignments on an as-needed basis. When the need to fill arises, the department will refer to this pool of part-time faculty.

The candidate selected for employment will be required to provide the following: official transcripts and verification of experience prior to the first duty day, identification and employment eligibility as outlined in the Immigration Reform and Control Act, fingerprints and required medical certification pursuant to statute. Minimum Qualifications
Any Bachelor’s degree or higher AND two years of professional experience directly related to the faculty’s teaching assignment OR Any Associate degree AND six years of professional experience directly related to the faculty member’s teaching assignment OR Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area.

Desirable Qualifications
Prior teaching experience within the topics of theatrical and event video and projections. Proficient working knowledge and experience with QLab, projectors, edge blending, and Apple computers. Familiarity with show control and DMX peripherals. Software experience with Disguise, Watchout, Green Hippo, or other media server platforms. Understanding of CTE program objectives with a robust background in theatrical video and projections work at a theme park or entertainment venue. Experience working with Canvas or similar Learning Management System (LMS). Detailed experience teaching technical theatre courses, especially introductory classes, with innovative teaching practices supporting success and retention of women, students of color, and students with disabilities. Experience collaborating with faculty, staff, and/or community leaders in programs and initiatives that are specifically designed to assist historically underrepresented students achieve their educational goals.
