Audio Video (AV) Technician Job at Ambiance Systems in Clifton Park

Ambiance Systems specializes in smart automation for both homes and businesses. We have experience designing and installing home theaters and media rooms, whole house and multi-room audio/video, lighting control, climate control, surveillance, network infrastructure, and systems integration, as well as Automated Shading Solutions.

The company services the Capital Saratoga Region of NY, the Adirondacks, Catskills and the Hudson Valley corridor. 

We are seeking an experienced Audio Video Installation Technician to join our team in Clifton Park, NY.  The ideal candidate will have experience in audio video installations, networking, and troubleshooting, with a strong commitment to customer service.

Position Responsibilities:

• Pull and Terminate Low Voltage and Fiber Cables.
• Ability to read floor plans and diagrams.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot electronic equipment. 
• Perform system testing and quality assurance to ensure functionality and performance 
• Provide training and technical support to clients on the operation and maintenance of audiovisual systems
• Maintain accurate documentation of installation processes, equipment inventory, and client communication.
• Maintain a clean and organize workspace on site 
• Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle with stock inventory

Preferred Skills:

• At least 2 years of experience in audio video installation, troubleshooting, and service
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Strong knowledge of audio video equipment, including amplifiers, speakers, displays, and lighting control systems.
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals and protocols.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Ability to lift minimum of 50 lbs
• Strong Communication and organization skills
• Have a clean driving record
• Be able and willing to travel for occasional overnights work
