POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Graphic Designer II will report to the Creative Director and be responsible for concept, development, and production of product packaging, print ads, catalog layout, photography and other miscellaneous materials. The Graphic Designer II will work hand and hand with the Marketing Managers and Engineers to withhold brand standards on projects. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, self-motivation, and experience with an understanding of the industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Design Responsibilities:
- Oversee and adhere to brand standards and guidelines.
- Day-to-day graphic design projects may include: clipped images, logos, print advertisement, packaging design, new product guides, catalog layout/design, digital designs (email and web), and instore merchandising graphic assets.
- Execute packaging design and other creative projects from concept to completion.
- Ensure the brand message is executed through design and deadlines are met.
- Take on AOB company design projects as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Collaboration:
- Coordinate and partner with internal and external marketing partners such as agencies, external partners, and customers' marketing departments to create new and different advertisements.
- Aid the Visual Productions Team with graphic assets and image manipulation.
- Aid the content team and social media team in content creation.
Project Management:
- Independently ensure projects and programs are executed efficiently and planned out well in advance.
- Manage all assets of graphics related project working files.
- Consistently look for ways to improve efficiency.
- Create and manage computer-generated image design projects to minimize cost and efficiently present packaging design options.
- Project management experience (we utilize HIVE project management solution).
- Willingness to travel 5-10% of the time.
Key Skills:
- Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software.
- Experience with catalog, packaging, print, and digital design.
- Competent with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge or experience in 3D is a plus but not required (Keyshot, Sketch-up, or SolidWorks).
- Experience with the outdoor industry is a plus but not required.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Self-motivation.
- Ability to work with tight deadlines in high-pressure environments without compromising on work quality.
- Ability to execute marketing projects independently from conception to production, including sales enablement materials, social media creative ads, and landing pages.
- Ability to manage many projects independently with hard deadlines while maintaining strong organizational skills.
- Must be team-oriented with the ability to work in high collaboration and performance teams.
- Ability to research and compile information into presentation form independently.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or certificate in Design/Marketing/Creative
- 4+ years of experience preferred.
- Relevant experience in packaging design, digital design, or catalog layout.

Physical Demands:
- Regular and predictable attendance is required.
- Some overtime as required.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time in front of a computer.
- Ability to move about facility and rough terrain on regular basis to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking.

Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment:
- General office environment, with some exposure to plant environment, with forklift and other general hazards. Some exposure to outdoors, rough terrain, firearms, and lead.
Within any of our facilities, employees may be exposed to manufacturing noise, airborne liquid chemicals, fine particulate dust, ambient temperatures, and industrial lighting. The work environment is similar to most manufacturing and distribution operations. May be exposed to excessive noise, temperatures, hazards associated with working around moving machinery, work in confined quarters, exposure to vibrations and shop lighting, continuous exposure to hot temperatures, may be humid, odors, dust, continuous exposure to mechanical hazards, and occasional exposure to chemical hazards.
The following Personal Protective Equipment is required:
- Safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection are required when on the manufacturing floor.
The use of additional personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required when a job task(s) is being completed in or around your assigned department or in another department, this includes safety eyewear, hearing protection, and safety footwear.
