This is an excellent opportunity to join Jacobs Federal & Environmental Solutions and help grow the Federal Interior Design Studio nationally. As an Interior Designer on our Southeast team, you’ll provide programming, space planning, furniture layout and design, furniture specifications, interior finish selections, specifications, and presentations to clients. You’ll compile, create, and specify full SID and CID packages for FF&E documentation and procurement. You’ll produce construction drawings and documentation for furniture and interior design, coordinate furniture and space planning, and collaborate with manufacturer representatives. You will work under the direction of the Federal North/Southeast Interior Design Group Lead.
The ideal candidate should be able to:

Understand and implement all design standards and criteria
Manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment, supporting multiple projects simultaneously
Focus on attention to detail and quality
Conform to budgets and schedules
Maintain flexibility as workloads change
Uphold excellence in design and sustainability
Be able to travel as necessary for project requirements; some travel may be overseas
Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude
Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from a CIDA accredited school
Minimum 2 - 5 years of experience in a commercial design environment
United States Citizenship
Documentation of a completed commercial interior design internship
Proficiency in REVIT, Sketch-up, AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, and Photoshop
Strong organizational and communication skills
Understanding of building codes, ADA requirements, and LEED sustainability
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
Ambition to take the NCIDQ exam
