Position Summary:
The successful Sr. Grant Writer will be responsible for leading substantial segments of LifeMoves grant and contract applications and submissions. The Sr. Grant Writer works closely with the Development, Finance, Programs, and Compliance Teams to pursue and achieve the fundraising goals of LifeMoves. The successful candidate must be able to:
- Identify, cultivate, secure, and renew public contract and private grant funding
- Review and recommend application strategies and approaches for public and private RFP solicitations
- Attend public contract and private grant RFP information sessions
- Build and maintain expert knowledge of LifeMoves programs and research relevant economic indicators
- Lead writing, preparation, and submission of funding requests and reports
- Facilitate cross-functional communication and collaboration with Programs and Compliance Teams
- Coordinate with Finance Team to present accurate budgets
- Maintain accurate grant records in Salesforce and other required formats
- Assist with grant updates and reporting
- Support maintenance of the grants and contract submission calendar
- Participate in weekly Grants Team meetings
- Provide regular updates of grant and contract activity
- Participate in strategic planning and quarterly business review meetings
Other Duties:
The candidate may be requested to work with other Departments across the agency in various roles, including:
- Project management
- Program review
- Contract analysis
- Other duties as assigned
Position Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience writing and editing grant and contract proposals
- Salesforce experience required
- Exceptional writing, organizational, analytical, and prioritization skills
- Performance-driven attitude with proven ability to achieve established goals
- Proven ability to work independently with multiple deadlines
- Strong technical skills with Microsoft Office suite
- Reliable transportation and access to a personal vehicle required
