The Tri-City Chili Peppers are looking for qualified, Broadcasting & Streaming Interns for their 2025 Summer Baseball Season as a Camera Operator.

The Chili Peppers are the HOTTEST team in the Coastal Plain League, a summer wood-bat baseball league with teams in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. As the innovators of Cosmic Baseball, our team plays from May through early August with over 35+ home games at Shepherd Stadium in Colonial Heights, VA. We employ a small full-time staff so part-time seasonal employees and interns will perform integral duties and gain valuable professional experience and knowledge.

The broadcasting and streaming team plays an integral part in not only covering the Chili Peppers home and away games, but also telling the story of the Chili Peppers players and organization. In 2024, the Chili Peppers won the Coastal Plain League Broadcast & Stream of the Year Award and look to continue and build upon our award winning season.

We have multiple positions available for Camera Operators. These positions will capture the exciting Chili Peppers action on the field and assist with pre and post game interviews. As a Camera Operator you will create a quality viewing experience for fans streaming online. Home games are broadcast on FloSports Baseball and the Chili Peppers YouTube channel. You will also have the unique experience of capturing the action during our Cosmic Baseball games in which baseball is played under stadium grade UV black lights and everything from uniforms, hats, bats, baseballs, bases, the stadium, and fan merchandise is UV reactive. It's an experience and opportunity no other team can offer you.

The position starts the week of May 12th and will end by August 12th. These dates include pre-season games, travel to a game as a part of our Cosmic Takeover Tour, the regular season and playoffs.

General Responsibilities:
  • Assist with set up and take down of broadcasting and streaming equipment.
  • Assist with coordination of pre and post game filming
  • Train other interns to work cameras to be able to assist with broadcasts as need be
  • Assist with any research needed to tell the stories of the Chili Peppers season
  • Capture B roll footage that captures the local community
  • Assist with stadium preparation and clean up for each game.


Requirements:
•Basic understanding of production and media is preferred.
•Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
•Self-motivated individual with the ability to multi-task.
•Must be self-driven and highly motivated.

This is an unpaid/college credit internship eligible position. The goal for those who accept this position is to give them real-world learning experiences and allow them an educational environment where they will learn and hone their skills within a workforce.
