Duties

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and values.
  • Lead and manage a team of marketing professionals, vendors, and contractors to execute campaigns effectively.
  • Monitor market trends and competitors to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Brand Development
    • Enhance Brooklyn SolarWorks' brand presence and messaging to establish a stronger identity in the NYC market.
    • Ensure consistency in brand messaging across all channels.
    • Advise on branding strategy and lead generation for Brooklyn Solar Canopy Co.
  • Content Creation & Management
    • Oversee content strategy for blogs, social media, email campaigns, and video production.
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to create compelling, high-quality content.
  • Digital Marketing
    • Manage the company’s online presence, including SEO/SEM strategies, PPC campaigns, and website optimization.
    • Leverage data analytics to refine marketing campaigns and improve ROI.
  • Public Relations & Community Engagement
    • Cultivate relationships with media, influencers, and community organizations to promote Brooklyn SolarWorks’ mission.
    • Organize events and campaigns that engage the local community and drive brand awareness.
  • Field Team Management
    • Own the performance of Brooklyn SolarWorks Brand Ambassador/Canvass field team.
    • Orchestrate canvass activities with Canvass Manager and harmonize with other marketing channels.
  • Performance Metrics & Reporting
    • Establish KPIs for marketing efforts and track performance using analytics tools.
    • Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership to guide decision-making.
    • Work with finance to ensure cost effectiveness of marketing activities.

Qualifications

Required Skill Set

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, branding, and public relations strategies.
  • Proven experience in managing budgets, campaigns, and teams.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in marketing tools such as Google Analytics, HubSpot, and social media platforms.

Preferred Skill Set

  • Familiarity with the renewable energy or sustainability sector is a plus.
