Position Overview:
ProspectBlue is partnering with a client to find a dynamic and entrepreneurial individual for a leadership role in marketing. This hands-on position will oversee all aspects of marketing to drive profitable growth. The ideal candidate will develop marketing content, improve product offerings, enhance website design, and collaborate with the management team to optimize customer service and experiences. The role is based in either Richmond or Staunton, VA.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute marketing content, strategies, and channels to capture market share and outpace competitors by targeting key selling points.
- Lead all aspects of website design, improvement, content management, contractor oversight, and performance to ensure a best-in-class industry presence.
- Oversee video and social media promotions, including creating, producing, and publishing content across key platforms. Regularly analyze and report results to increase exposure and sales.
- Manage SEM and SEO strategies, data analysis, and projects. Coordinate with external agencies to achieve KPIs and meet financial goals related to advertising, sales, and margins.
- Monitor incoming orders for potential issues, proactively addressing them to enhance customer satisfaction and improve website and communication processes.
- Expand product offerings by identifying and specifying new products, ensuring profitability and market relevance.
- Identify and explore new markets, outlets, and channels for business growth.
- Maintain and update KPIs, reports, and metrics, presenting results and improvement plans during regular management reviews.
- Ensure accurate and competitive product positioning through corrections and improvements to offerings.
- Conduct competitor evaluations to maintain industry-leading pricing, delivery, service, and quality. Collaborate with production, sourcing, and web developers to enhance value.
- Reduce freight costs through optimized product and packaging design.
- Participate in the company’s continuous improvement processes, aligning with its core values.
- Use customer feedback to refine website design, service offerings, and overall customer satisfaction. Assist in resolving customer complaints.
- Provide flexible support to sales and customer service teams as needed.
- Undertake additional duties and projects as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Self-motivated with high energy and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent writing, verbal communication, and professional telephone/email communication skills for customer interactions.
- Strong follow-through abilities to complete tasks on time and with accuracy.
- Technical aptitude to learn, document, and train others on industry-specific topics such as acoustics and installations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related technical field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience performing similar duties.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
- Expertise in Google Analytics, SEO/SEM tools, social media management, and video production.
- ERP experience is required.
- Preferred experience with WordPress and WooCommerce.
