Graphics Design Specialist - Contract Based

ZOE International is a Christian nonprofit whose mission is to reach every person with the hope and love of Jesus through Leadership, Evangelism, Discipleship, and Missions, and to rescue every child from the atrocities of human trafficking through Prevention, Rescue, and Restoration.

Reports to: Media Director

Responsibilities:

• Create visually compelling designs for print and digital media, including brochures, flyers, posters, social media graphics, email, direct mail letters, newsletters, and website assets.
• Collaborate with the Media and Development team to develop creative concepts and design solutions.
• Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines and effectively communicate the organization's message.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Stay up-to-date with design trends and best practices.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field OR 3+ years of experience with graphic design preferred.
• Strong design portfolio demonstrating creative skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience working with nonprofit organizations is a plus.
• Passion for our mission and vision.
• Represent the ZOE culture.
• Ability to understand and communicate the voice, brand, and values of the organization.
• Always learning and staying up to date with best graphic design practices.
• Good written and verbal skills.
• Ability to think creatively, adapt efficiently, problem-solve, and be organized.
• Ability to tell stories through content creation.
• Willingness to begin as a contractor with the option of moving full-time.

Technical Requirements:

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Knowledge of print production and file prep.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Must be available to work from our corporate offices in Santa Clarita, CA (Once full-time).
• Must be available to commute to other locations or events on occasion as needed.
