West Allegheny is a vibrant and growing community with a population of 24,000 residents, located just 15 miles northwest of Pittsburgh, PA. Comprising North Fayette Township, Findlay Township, and Oakdale Borough, all within the West Allegheny School District, this area blends suburban neighborhoods with rural landscapes, offering a peaceful environment with close access to Pittsburgh’s urban amenities. Located in North Fayette Township, the Western Allegheny Community Library serves as a cultural and educational hub, offering a broad array of programs, resources, and services to residents of all ages. We emphasize lifelong learning and community connection, providing not only books and non-traditional materials but also services such as notary and tax assistance, all designed to meet the diverse needs of our patrons.

Position Summary
As the Executive Director, you will report to and work in partnership with a nine-member governing Board of Directors to oversee the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the library. The Director is responsible for the planning, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of all library functions, services, programs, and facilities. This role ensures that actions are aligned with the library’s Mission and Strategic Plan, as established by the Board.
