AAAZA is hiring! We are looking for an engaging, energetic media strategist who is passionate about diverse cultures. Working within our media strategy team and account team, you will support marketing and advertising initiatives that deliver actionable insights and award-winning work for our clients. Strong verbal and written English communications with Asian language expertise are required. We are open to connecting with H-1B and OPT candidates. This is a full-time HYBRID work position in Los Angeles, with the chance to work remotely from our office space in Hawaii for up to two weeks a year. Who You Are

The Media Strategist is responsible for the planning, implementation, and day-to-day maintenance of media plans. The Media Strategist reports to the Media Strategy Supervisor and works closely with the media strategy team and account team to develop strategic recommendations that meet client marketing objectives. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, writing, and analytical skills, as well as strong traditional and digital media planning, buying, and activation experience. A minimum of 2 years of experience is required.

The Media Strategist will report to the Media Supervisor and work closely with Media Associates, in addition to interacting with Account, Strategy, and Creative teams.

HYBRID/LOS ANGELES AREA

What You'll Do

  • Work with Account Service and Creative team to develop media strategies and recommendations to meet established KPIs and campaign goals.
  • Execute and manage media buys including implementation, negotiations, and budget management.
  • Effectively manage all daily tasks as well as train and mentor the Media Strategy Associate.
  • Remain current on the status of media campaigns to inform weekly internal and client status reports.
  • Analyze and complete campaign reports utilizing reporting tools and vendor insights.
  • Continually recommend and execute optimizations and report on the effectiveness of those changes.
  • Find opportunities to create and implement custom ideas.
  • Responsible for monitoring traditional and digital media and advertising trends.
  • Develop recommendations and POVs for new media opportunities.
  • Deliver formal and informal presentations to clients and internal teams.
  • Develop and maintain timelines for all projects.
  • Serve as a resource for associates for advice, counsel, and mentorship.
  • Develop the ability to independently manage all aspects of the brand while briefing the Supervisors and Directors on key happenings and issues.
  • Have a thorough understanding of all elements of the brand and specifically its strategic target and prime prospects.

What You Bring

  • Must be bilingual in Korean. (Required)
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in media planning, campaign execution, and optimization. (Required)
  • Preferred experience in multicultural marketing & bilingual.
  • Preferred experience in traditional and digital media.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to articulate strategic insights and development.
  • Balanced ability to perform analytically and creatively.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills with the ability to continually prioritize.
  • Positive attitude, high level of self-motivation, and willingness to be hands-on.
  • Clear understanding of the media planning and buying process.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Proficient with Google Campaign Manager (CM Ad Server) and Google Analytics and Realtime bidding platforms.

What We Offer

Salary: $50k and up depending on experience.
