The Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) is the largest pro-life political organization in the country with a nationwide network of more than 1,000,000 Americans. We combine politics with policy, investing heavily in voter education to ensure that pro-life Americans know where their lawmakers stand on protecting the unborn, and in issue advocacy, advancing pro-life laws through direct lobbying and grassroots campaigns.

The Social Media Manager works closely with the Digital & Creative Director to support and promote the efforts of the Susan B. Anthony List family of organizations. Primary responsibilities include maintaining and optimizing the organization’s social media accounts, building our list of online supporters through organic social media efforts, and producing content to support these goals.

This position is located in the Arlington, VA headquarters and reports directly to the Digital and Creative Director.

Essential Functions:

Social Media:

  1. Create and schedule engaging images, graphics, video, and copy for SBA social platforms (and other related entities).
  2. Manage social media calendar for all platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok).
  3. Monitor and respond to messages and moderate comments on posts.
  4. Track and report on results and engagement.
  5. Advise on partner organization social media efforts and strategy.
  6. Manage personal Twitter accounts of company figureheads.
  7. Engage with allies and potential allies’ social media teams to build and maintain relationships.
  8. Manage the Community Notes team.

Other Responsibilities as Assigned:

  1. Supervise and maintain our in-house recording studio, as needed.
  2. On-camera recordings, social spokesperson (preferred).

Requirements:

  1. Creative, inventive, and out-of-box thinker.
  2. Ability to communicate SBA List’s unique tone and priorities.

Required Education/Experience:

  1. Strong commitment and dedication to the pro-life position.
  2. Ability to work as part of a team but also a self-starter.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Critical thinker.

Experience with:

  1. Excel, Word.
  2. WordPress.
  3. Social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok).
  4. Strong writing and copywriting skills.
  5. Graphic design (e.g., Photoshop, InDesign).
  6. Video production and editing (social-focused).

  1. Bilingual candidates would be a benefit.
