The Paid Media Strategist position at The Abbi Agency is a mid-level position within the Paid Media team. This position works closely with other team members to drive digital ad campaign success. This position reports to the Director of Performance Marketing. This position is best suited for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a strong understanding of omnichannel marketing and a passion for continuous testing and optimization.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with the Director of Performance Marketing to define campaign goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), target audiences, and creative requirements for client success.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive paid media plans and advertising strategies tailored to client objectives.
  • Create, deploy, manage, and optimize campaigns across search, display, social, and other digital platforms, ensuring above-benchmark performance.
  • Conduct thorough campaign research and preparation, including keyword research, audience segmentation, and UTM parameter creation.
  • Provide ongoing performance updates and insights to the Director of Performance Marketing and Client Leads, identifying opportunities for optimization and growth.
  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc performance reports with actionable recommendations to refine strategy and drive results.
  • Collaborate with Digital Experience and Marketing teams to enhance campaign tracking and align with SEO and conversion strategies.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including creative, public relations, social media, and brand management, to deliver cohesive and impactful campaigns.
  • Maintain clear and proactive communication with internal teams and clients to ensure alignment on campaign progress and goals.
  • Utilize project management tools to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively, ensuring all deadlines are met efficiently.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 2+ years of experience managing digital and/or traditional paid media campaigns, including search, display, and social platforms.
  • Proficiency in ad platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and demand-side platforms (DSPs).
  • Experience with campaign analytics tools like Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Looker).
  • Familiarity with SEO, UTM creation, and audience segmentation techniques.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, optimize campaigns, and achieve KPIs.
  • Understanding of key advertising metrics, benchmarks, and performance analysis methods.
  • Familiarity with both traditional and digital media landscapes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous agency experience handling multiple client accounts and industries.
  • Knowledge of audience research tools, such as GWI or Nielsen, for insights and segmentation.
  • Certification in Google Ads, Meta Blueprint, or other relevant advertising platforms.
  • Familiarity with emerging advertising technologies and platforms (e.g., CTV, OTT, and audio advertising).
  • Ability to leverage first-party data and privacy-compliant strategies to inform campaign targeting and performance.
