As a Retail Marketing Assistant for Pocari Sweat you will play a pivotal role in driving consumer engagement and sales growth by developing effective in-store marketing strategies and executing those plans. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Brand Marketing, Supply Chain and the external brokers to develop and execute retail shopper marketing initiatives that resonate with Pocari’s target audience and drive conversion at the point of purchase. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute comprehensive shopper marketing plans aligned with brand objectives and sales targets. Orchestrate trade shows, demos, and roadshows, coordinating with on-site staff and Sales team. Collaborate with brand marketing teams to translate brand strategies into impactful in-store activation plans. Propose and execute merchandising strategies to maximize product visibility, availability, and sales within retail accounts. Build and maintain strong relationships with broker, retail managers and buyers to secure placement and promotional/marketing opportunities. Conduct regular store visits to monitor product displays, inventory levels, and compliance with merchandising standards. Analyze consumer insights, market trends, and sales data to identify opportunities for shopper engagement and conversion. Work closely with broker reps and retail partners to negotiate and execute joint marketing programs, including promotions and displays. Create compelling shopper marketing assets and materials, including point-of-sale displays and signage. Manage the end-to-end execution of shopper marketing campaigns, including budget allocation and project timelines. Monitor and evaluate the performance of shopper marketing initiatives, providing regular reporting and insights to internal stakeholders. Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in shopper marketing to continuously optimize strategies and tactics. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 3 years of experience in shopper marketing, retail marketing, or related roles within the food and beverage industry. Strong understanding of consumer behavior, retail dynamics, and shopper insights. Proven track record of developing and executing successful shopper marketing programs that drive sales results. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and design. Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in interpreting sales data and market research. Ability to work independently and proactively problem-solve in a dynamic environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organization. Passion for the food and beverage industry and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service and results. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with marketing analytics tools is preferred. Ability to travel 50-75% as needed for customer meetings and retail visits in and out of California.
