Role overview
As a Sr. writer, you will be responsible for crafting, managing, and maintaining comprehensive user documentation for our software products and systems. You will work closely with domain experts to collect technical specifications and convert intricate technical information into easily understandable content. Your responsibility will involve ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with company standards across all written materials.
You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Roles & responsibilities
•Work with field subject matter experts to develop a variety of technical content types, including
•reference architecture diagrams, whitepapers, compliance content, and more. Content development
•tasks span editing, writing, and publishing.
•Use AWS to test tutorials and other content as needed.
•Manage content using confluence, markdown, SharePoint Online.
•Help define efficient processes that streamline the way we work.
•Assist maintaining training material keeping relevant as knowledge changes.
•Optimize content for search and audience
•Collaborate with team members to derive insights from data, and recommend content changes as needed.
•Foster positive relationships and effective communication with key partners, including business and application leads.
•Provide guidance, simplify complex topics, and tailor messaging to the audience.
•Coordinate with subject matter experts to optimize knowledge management.
•Work with engineering teams to determine documentation and knowledge management requirements.
•Provide feedback for process improvement.
Qualifications
•Basic qualifications
o At least seven years of experience as a technical writer/trainer in the software field
o At least two years of experience authoring technical content using a markup language, such as XML
o Exceptional writing, editing, collaboration, and communication skills.
o Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment
o Experience optimizing content to increase organic traffic
•Preferred qualifications
o High-level understanding of cloud computing, IT infrastructure, and different programming languages.
o Experience working in knowledge or content management platforms such as Confluence and SharePoint Online
o Experience using web analytics to measure content performance and identify actionable insights.
o Experience working successfully in teams and helping others in your team succeed.
o Bachelor's degree in English, technical writing, or related field, or comparable job experience
o Demonstrate project management experience

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 to $163,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
