The Social Media Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing effective social media strategies to achieve business objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of social media platforms, a passion for digital marketing, and the ability to create engaging content that resonates with target audiences. The ideal candidate will be a creative and data-driven individual who can effectively manage multiple projects, build strong relationships, and contribute to the overall success of the organization's marketing efforts.

What you'll do in this role:

  • Define Target Audience: Conduct thorough research to identify and understand the target audience across different social media platforms.
  • Set Measurable Goals: Establish clear, specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals for social media campaigns (e.g., increase brand awareness, drive website traffic, generate leads, boost sales).
  • Create and implement social media calendars: Plan and schedule regular, engaging content across various platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok).
  • Develop high-quality, original content (text, images, videos) that aligns with brand voice and resonates with the target audience.
  • Curate relevant industry news and share it with followers.
  • Track Key Metrics: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as reach, engagement (likes, comments, shares), website traffic, conversions, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Social Listening: Actively listen to conversations happening around the brand and industry on social media.
  • Community Management: Respond promptly and professionally to all comments, messages, and mentions.
  • Engage with Followers: Build relationships with followers by actively participating in conversations, answering questions, and running contests or giveaways.
  • Research & Analyze: Keep abreast of the latest social media trends, platform updates, and best practices.
  • Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitor activity on social media to identify opportunities and stay ahead of the curve.
  • Industry Benchmarking: Track industry benchmarks for key metrics to measure performance against competitors.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other marketing, sales, and customer service teams to ensure consistent brand messaging and integrated campaigns.
  • Provide Insights: Share valuable insights and data with the wider marketing team to inform overall marketing strategies.


What is required:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in social media marketing or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing and mentoring a high-performing social media team (ideally 5+ members).
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and foster a collaborative team environment. This includes experience motivating and inspiring team members, effectively delegating tasks, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Experience with developing and executing successful social media campaigns across various platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of social media analytics and reporting with the ability to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze data to inform strategy.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
