Position Overview

The Senior Director of Events and Marketing Partnerships will spearhead the strategic vision, planning, and execution of all events, sponsorships, and partnership initiatives to amplify SIMCO's brand presence, drive lead generation, and strengthen industry ties. This role, reporting directly to the CMO, seeks a creative and strategic leader with a strong track record in executing impactful B2B events and fostering collaborative partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Events Management

  • Craft and implement a robust event strategy encompassing trade shows, conferences, webinars, and customer events to align with SIMCO's marketing and business objectives.
  • Oversee the complete planning and execution of events, focusing on logistics, budgeting, vendor management, content creation, and thorough post-event evaluations.
  • Collaborate with product marketing, sales, and digital teams to sync event strategies with go-to-market goals and campaigns.
  • Explore and assess new event opportunities to maximize return on investment and brand visibility.

Partnership Development

  • Foster and maintain strategic partnerships with industry organizations, priority customers, and complementary solution providers to enhance SIMCO's market standing.
  • Negotiate sponsorships and co-marketing initiatives to boost visibility and create shared value with partners.
  • Work closely with internal teams to identify partnership opportunities that resonate with corporate objectives.

Brand and Experience Leadership

  • Ensure all events and partnerships align with SIMCO's brand identity, providing a cohesive and impactful customer experience.
  • Devise innovative strategies to set SIMCO apart at events and within partnership engagements.

Performance Measurement

  • Monitor, assess, and report on the success of events and partnerships, focusing on lead generation, brand awareness, and revenue contributions.
  • Utilize insights to refine and enhance future event and partnership strategies.

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of demonstrated experience in event management, partnership development, or similar roles, particularly in B2B sectors like SaaS, technical services, or regulated markets.
  • Proven track record of creating and executing successful event and partnership strategies that yield measurable business success.
  • Experience in managing event budgets effectively and achieving results within set parameters.
  • Strong relationship-building capabilities, adept at managing both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with the aerospace, biomedical device fields, or other regulated industries is highly advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
