We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to join our team. This role is perfect for a self-motivated professional with a passion for marketing, events, communication, and creative design. The Marketing Assistant will play an integral role in the planning and execution of marketing activities, ensuring brand consistency, operational excellence, and visually engaging content across all platforms.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Support ongoing marketing department projects and goals.
- Coordinate and oversee onsite event logistics, ensuring smooth execution of marketing events, trade shows, and client outings.
- Create, schedule, and monitor engaging content across various social media platforms to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
- Design and produce eye-catching graphics for use on social media and other platforms, ensuring all visuals align with brand aesthetics and messaging.
- Develop, edit, and distribute newsletters to keep audiences informed and engaged.
- Assist with website updates, ensuring content is current, accurate, and aligned with branding guidelines.
- Manage purchase orders (POs) and handle marketing invoices, maintaining accurate financial documentation.
- Assist in planning for events, trade shows, golf outings, and other networking opportunities.
- Serve as the point of contact for tradeshow coordination, managing setup, materials, and communication.
- Organize and manage marketing merchandise and promotional items.
- Respond to inquiries via the marketing email inbox and phone calls, maintaining a professional tone and ensuring timely responses.
- Track and manage association membership renewals, ensuring the company remains active in relevant organizations.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in a marketing or administrative role, preferably in event coordination or communications.
- Proficiency in social media platforms, email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp), and content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workloads.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with marketing analytics tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to travel for 1-2 events per year.
