A full time Marketing Assistant is needed for a contemporary denim brand sold in all the best department stores and online (Shopbop, Revolve, etc). This position will support the Director of Marketing & Communications, and coordinate with other departments to effectively assist and execute Marketing activities for the company. This role is onsite 4 days/1 day remote.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Independently coordinate marketing initiatives, including:
- Tracking project status;
- Communicating with vendors;
- Note keeping;
- Ordering marketing collateral.
- Partner with PR Coordination in the management, tracking, and allocation of all agency and in-house Marketing sample inventory, assisting in loans to wholesale and PR partners as needed.
- Own all packaging and gifting inventory, order placements and distribution.
- Support the Director of Marketing & Communications and Senior Manager of Wholesale Marketing in wholesale marketing requests, from visual assets to marketing materials.
- In partnership with PR Coordinator and Social Media Coordinator, submit all product orders and returns.
- Build and manage key partnerships internally across marketing, merchandising, creative, design, and ops.
- Facilitate meeting recaps.
- Sit in on marketing meetings and brainstorms; actively participate in the development of marketing strategies.
- Provide event planning assistance for internal and external events as necessary.
- Perform ad hoc duties to support the marketing team.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree, in Communications or Marketing preferred.
- 1-2 years relevant Public Relations, Communications or Marketing experience in the fashion industry.
- Must have strong organizational and project management skills, as well as attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; and outstanding copywriting and proofreading skills.
- Firm grasp on various marketing platforms, channels, and best practices, including social, digital, and email marketing.
- Must be a self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and tasks.
- Strong knowledge of the fashion industry.
- Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign), Joor, and Launchmetrics experience a plus.
Salary: $25/hr DOE
