Role Summary
The Marketing Associate will support the Associate Director of Marketing (Paid & Owned Media). This role is crucial in executing key marketing initiatives, ensuring smooth operations and contributing to the success of the brand’s strategic marketing efforts.
Essential Functions
Social Media
- Plan and execute social media calendars, scheduling and posting across platforms
- Monitor channels, respond to inquiries and foster community engagement this tailored content
Email Marketing
- Assist in developing and implementing segmented email campaigns, including newsletters, promotions and announcements
- Create compelling, brand-aligned content and manage list segmentations, hygiene and A/B testing
Website Management
- Update and maintain website content to align with marketing initiatives and product launches
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners for design and functionality updates
Copywriting Support
- Write and edit marketing copy for email, websites and collateral materials
- Ensure compliance with cannabis marketing regulations and maintain brand tone
Partnerships & Influencers Support
- Support partnerships, sponsorship and influencer initiatives
- Build relationships with cannabis influencers and brand ambassadors
Event Support
- Assist with planning and executing consumer, retail and trade events
- Manage vendor coordination, onsite logistics and ensure alignment with brand goals
- Analyze and report on marketing performance metrics to evaluate program and campaign success, identifying key insights and making data-driven recommendations for optimization
Project Management
- Oversee marketing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely deliver, effective team communication and streamlined workflows
- Collaborate closely with the cross-functional teams to align efforts and drive shared objectives, ensuring proactive communication to achieve key marketing goals and initiatives
Education, Experience & Other Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field
- 2-5 years of experience in marketing, preferable within the cannabis or CPG industries
- Passion for the cannabis industry and a keen interest in emerging marketing trends
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in social media platforms, content management systems and basic graphic design tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Takes initiative and demonstrate independence and self-motivation

Location: Boulder, hybrid–2 days in office
Salary: $60,000 – $76,000 per year
