WHY YOU WOULD BE A FIT?
We are looking for a motivated and curious UX Research Intern to join our team and contribute to designing exceptional experiences for our final mile delivery services. As a UX Research Intern, you will support efforts to understand our users' needs, behaviors, and motivations, ensuring alignment with business objectives. You will assist in conducting research activities such as usability testing, user interviews, surveys, and basic data analysis.
This internship will provide you with the opportunity to collaborate with designers, product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to turn user insights into actionable recommendations and meaningful design improvements.
YOUR ASSIGNMENT (should you choose us and we choose you!)
- Support the planning, design, and execution of user research studies, such as usability tests, user interviews, surveys, and other research methods under the guidance of the UX team.
- Help analyze and synthesize research findings to provide insights and suggestions that influence design and product decisions.
- Participate in collecting and organizing customer feedback through surveys, focus groups, and interviews, contributing to the identification of actionable insights.
- Work with designers, product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to understand research needs and assist in identifying appropriate research methods aligned with business objectives.
- Contribute to creating personas, journey maps, and user flows based on research insights to help visualize user experiences.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and visual summaries to share research outcomes and foster a shared understanding of user needs across the team.
- Partner with team members to advocate for user-centered design principles and support the delivery of useful, accessible, and impactful experiences.
- Support efforts to educate stakeholders about the importance of UX research and advocate for user needs throughout the product development process.
- Support the team in conducting comprehensive research to identify industry trends, customer pain points, opportunities, and gaps in the market by benchmarking our products against competitors.

- Basic knowledge of various research methodologies for collecting user insights.
- Experience or coursework involving usability testing, user interviews, and surveys
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to organize and interpret data from various sources
- Understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to present research findings clearly to team members and stakeholders
- Understanding of UX research tools (e.g., Userlytics, UserTesting, Lookback, Optimal Workshop, etc.).
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Eagerness to learn and collaborate in a team environment
- A passion for navigating complexity and making sense of ambiguity
- Critical and creative thinking while maintaining close attention to detail
- Currently pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university with an interest in user research & testing, human-computer interaction (HCI) design, user experience (UX) design, or related field
- Pay: $17/hour
- Duration: May 19, 2024 - August 15, 2024
- Work Hours: 30-40 hours per week
