GENERALS

UMMARY

(What is done and why)

The Product Marketing Strategist is responsible for developing and executing United's product marketing strategy to meet company and regionally specific growth goals. The position is responsible for development of marketing plans to achieve sales targets, monitoring and analyzing product performance, maintaining product viability in the marketplace through analysis of market research, customer needs and industry trends; and by bringing creative ideas to market.

The Strategist utilizes all channels at his/her disposal to support and communicate the unique selling proposition of the organization in order to drive product growth goals as well as the three primary membership objectives 1.) Acquisition 2.) Deeper Share of Wallet, and 3). Retention. Efforts include internal and external communication, development of marketing campaigns, creation of marketing assets along with research, implementation and support of lead generation programs and opportunities.

The Strategist will need to understand United's brand and verbal identify, value proposition, differentiators as a preferred credit union and flawlessly communicate this with a local, authentic feel nationally and within each market. This position will work closely with sales, traditional marketing, digital marketing, product development and public relations teams to support product growth goals. They will also work closely with external agencies and cross-functional internal departments.

RIORITYORDER Responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing marketing plans that accomplish product growth goals. This includes multi-media campaigns utilizing the most effective channels based on each community/target audience. This includes personalized marketing efforts that support the product line sales staff. Time: 30% Conduct market and target audience research to appropriately position product in manner that differentiates from competitors, addresses member pain points, and drives product awareness and demand. Time: 25% Manages product lifecycle through development of go-to-market strategy for product launches or enhancements and end of life strategy for product sunsets. Collaborates regularly with product operation teams and product management teams to support product roadmap. Time: 25% Acts as an ambassador of the United brand and is responsible for knowing, understanding, and communicating product promotions, assets and content that align with brand guidelines and integrated marketing efforts. Performs other duties as assigned. Time: 10% Responsible for the metrics, reporting and tracking of marketing activities supporting assigned product lines. Time: 10%

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE

(Minimum experience required to perform the duties of this position)

In addition to the education requirement: Three to five year's marketing or communications experience required. Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) required. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) preferred. Social media experience preferred. Project management experience a plus. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

PHYSICALDEMANDS (Physical effort generally associated with this position)

Work involves standing and walking for brief periods of time, but most work is done from a seated position. There is a potential for eyestrain from reading detailed reports/invoices and the computer screen. Deadlines, workloads, and pressure to achieve goals may cause increased stress levels.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Internal - Work is normally performed in climate-controlled office environment, where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is very limited. Noise level is moderate and includes sounds of normal office equipment (computers, telephone, etc.) No known environmental hazards are encountered in normal performance of duties. Length of day is unpredictable; long hours may be required to accommodate deadlines or special meetings.

External - Some travel to branches may be required; however, information on environmental conditions is not available.
