A law firm in Los Angeles is seeking an Entertainment (Music) Associate Attorney with a minimum of 3-6 years of experience within the music business. The candidate will engage in high-level transactions with a diverse roster of clients, including emerging and superstar-level talent, music companies, investors, digital music services, and music business entrepreneurs. The role involves collaborating on various music industry transactions, providing comprehensive legal counsel on music M&A transactions, and ensuring thorough due diligence. Duties: Engage in high-level transactions within the music industry Collaborate on recording agreements, album clearance work, music publishing agreements, and more Provide legal counsel on music M&A transactions, including due diligence and contract preparation Review and negotiate acquisition, sale, and financing agreements Handle matters related to copyright, artificial intelligence, and rights of name/image/likeness/voice Assist with music catalog acquisitions and sales Work on management agreements, joint venture agreements, sponsorship, endorsements, and digital music licensing deals Conduct legal research and analysis on music industry regulations and trends Draft legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and correspondence Represent clients in negotiations and meetings Requirements: Minimum of 3-6 years of experience within the music business Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school Active membership in good standing of the California State Bar Proficiency in music publishing, recorded music, management, joint ventures, sponsorship, endorsements, live touring, and digital music licensing deals Experience in music catalog sales and acquisitions preferred Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school Certifications: Active membership in good standing of the California State Bar Skills: Strong understanding of the music industry and its legal aspects Excellent negotiation and communication skills Ability to handle multiple transactions and projects simultaneously Attention to detail and accuracy in legal documents and contracts Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Proficiency in legal research and writing #J-18808-Ljbffr
