Support the Office of Undergraduate Admissions through assisting with the creation of a year-long, multi-platform communication plan that moves students along the admissions funnel from prospect through enrollment. By leveraging digital communication, social media engagement, direct-to-home mailers, and university events this role provides vital support in helping the university meet its enrollment goals. By promoting UAlbany's resources and opportunities to incoming first-year and transfer students and their families this role works to strengthen UAlbany's brand recognition and attract students who will thrive at our institution.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Slate (CRM) mailings and event creation
- Troubleshoot and enhance CRM daily communication procedures, workflows, and data integrity.
- Participate in and attend various Undergraduate Admissions and University events.
- Updating/creating marketing assets (both digital and print materials)
- Monitor budget expenses for print marketing assets.
- Storyboard and script construction for multimedia packages.
- Write compelling and effective admission recruitment messages.
- Social Media content curation and performance review
- Work alongside the Office of Communications and Marketing to cover campus programming to leverage in digital marketing campaigns.
- Social media planning, assessment, creative design and scheduling.
- Website copywriting and editing.
- Communications research and monitor the progress of communication strategies
- Report on key analytics of digital communications and enrollment events.
- Create documentation and communication flow mappings for all campaigns.
- Other reasonable duties as assigned
Functional and Supervisory Relationships:
- Reports to and collaborates with the Associate Director for Marketing and Communications for Undergraduate Admissions
- May supervise employees as assigned (if no direct reports at time of filling position) including co-supervision of Graduate Assistant
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrated understanding of the admissions cycle.
- Proficient in writing and copy-editing marketing materials.
- Website development skills.
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
- Social media competency in content construction and reporting.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience
- Digital communication experience, writing for targeted and diverse audiences.
- Applicants must demonstrate an ability to develop inclusive and equitable relationships within our diverse campus community.
- Applicants must demonstrate an ability to support diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and belonging relative to their role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in communications or related field from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in higher education enrollment marketing.
Working Environment:
- Typical office environment
- In-person support of university events
- Work with Office of Communications and Marketing on multimedia projects
- Creativity in design and content of marketing assets

Professional Rank and Salary Grade: SL-3, $58,000-$62,000
