Position Summary:
The Creative Director will drive the strategic and creative vision for the company, ensuring a cohesive and impactful brand presence across all platforms. This role focuses on creative leadership, hands-on graphic design, brand strategy, and content quality, overseeing the development and execution of campaigns, visual storytelling, events, and inventory-related initiatives. As the leader of the marketing team, the Creative Director will actively contribute to design efforts, collaborate cross-functionally, streamline creative workflows, and ensure deliverables align with business objectives and market growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Creative Leadership & Graphic Design
- Lead and contribute to the creation of high-quality visual content, including graphics, video assets, print materials, and event collateral that align with brand identity and campaign goals.
- Set and maintain the creative direction for all projects, ensuring consistency across digital, print, and experiential channels.
- Apply expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects) to directly design and refine key assets when needed.
- Collaborate on product launches, campaigns, and market expansion, ensuring all creative initiatives align with organizational goals and resonate with target audiences.
- Conduct brainstorming sessions to generate innovative, design-forward solutions for campaigns, events, and promotions.
- Stay ahead of design trends and emerging technologies to integrate innovative visuals and tools into creative initiatives.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide mentorship, design feedback, and leadership to the marketing team.
- Align with the Marketing Manager to balance strategy development and day-to-day execution, ensuring streamlined collaboration.
- Work cross-functionally with sales, operations, and leadership teams to align creative deliverables with business objectives and customer engagement goals.
- Manage relationships with external creative agencies, freelancers, and production partners to supplement internal efforts when necessary.
Campaign Development & Event Planning
- Develop and oversee integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring all creative content (graphics, videos, print, and experiential assets) aligns with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator to manage event logistics, including branded materials, displays, signage, and multimedia assets that enhance audience engagement.
- Lead the visual direction for trade shows, product activations, and retail events, ensuring a professional and cohesive brand presence.
Inventory, Swag, & Merch Oversight
- Develop and oversee the strategy for swag, merch, and inventory, aligning with marketing campaigns, retail activations, and event needs.
- Oversee ordering, distribution, and organization of branded materials to ensure inventory levels match demand while avoiding excess stock.
- Track the performance and ROI of swag and merch initiatives, using insights to inform future strategies and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast inventory needs for events, giveaways, and retail partnerships.
Out-of-State Market Expansion & Innovation
- Lead the creative strategy for expanding brand presence in Illinois, Arizona, and future markets, ensuring localized messaging aligns with overall brand identity.
- Develop experiential and campaign-based initiatives that increase visibility and customer engagement in new markets.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to leverage regional insights and tailor campaigns to resonate with local audiences.
- Identify and incorporate emerging trends, tools, and technologies to maintain a competitive and innovative creative approach.
Process Optimization & Performance Management
- Develop and refine SOPs to streamline creative workflows, enhance collaboration, and optimize timelines for project execution.
- Conduct campaigns and project retrospectives to evaluate success, document lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness while delivering creative materials that meet the highest quality standards.
Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of experience in creative leadership roles with a strong background in graphic design, content development, and campaign execution.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects) and other design tools.
- Experience developing and managing integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, and experiential channels.
- Proven ability to oversee swag, merch, and inventory management strategies for marketing initiatives.
- Strong track record of leading teams, providing creative mentorship, and ensuring deliverables align with business objectives.
- Experience collaborating with external vendors, agencies, and production partners to execute high-quality creative projects.
- Solid understanding of digital marketing, social media strategies, and SEO principles to guide cohesive visual campaigns.
- Excellent organizational, project management, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., cannabis, alcohol, pharmaceuticals) is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
