Compensation Range: $140,000-$150,000 annual salary
We are looking for a highly organized Executive Producer with extensive technical and creative video experience for our client.
This role is responsible for bringing creative vision to life by driving, delivering, and enhancing creative concepts in recorded, broadcast, and live productions. The Executive Producer will build strong relationships, collaborate, and partner with creatives, clients, and production crews for smooth, efficient, and informed productions. This role includes establishing, managing, and aligning the daily affairs of cast and crew with the creative vision and goals of each project, while cultivating a collaborative and safe working environment.
The Executive Producer must confidently communicate ideas, needs, and expectations for all parties involved in productions - clients, crew, and team. They must be a skilled negotiator and presenter, possessing strong business and marketing skills along with the ability to problem-solve in the moment. This person will work collaboratively with other producers, build outside resource talent pools as appropriate, and manage productions from start to finish for the delivery of high-quality, in-scope, and on-time products.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main point of contact with partners and key stakeholders, leading high-level event productions, overseeing the crew, and acting as the primary contact for technical, logistical, and project management event support.
- Provide input on briefs and collaborate with resources to determine the best approach for each project based on schedule, budget, team bandwidth, complexity, and other determining factors.
- Attend briefings to determine production involvement and needs.
- Help inform and scope production budgets and timelines with stakeholders based on creative briefs and allocated funds.
- Introduce new ideas to ensure the highest creative quality, efficiency, and optimal outcomes for all video productions.
- Create efficiencies, streamline, and optimize workflows to ensure high standards of quality and productivity.
- Create next-level productions and content, including videos and integrated projects for internal or external use, broadcasts, and live events.
- Provide guidance for and work closely with technical resources/experts.
- Supervise the overall production of videos and events in compliance with all organizational requirements.
- Work effectively with creative resources to forecast bandwidth and identify necessary support and workstreams to align with the creative vision.
- Communicate skills and resources needed to vendor partners and team leads.
- Set realistic expectations with client partners to ensure success without sacrificing quality or exceeding budget.
- Advise internal and external agency partners on production-related concerns on a project-by-project basis.
- Manage multiple projects and tasks, maintain flexibility with working teams, travel, and odd hours while problem-solving effectively.
- Leverage tools and resources to track and report on each project's delivery and performance.
- Inspire proactive and solution-based thinking across all team members.
- Hold all parties accountable for delivering quality outputs on time and on budget.
Qualifications:
- A video and event production background of at least 10+ years with a history of managing productions of various scales.
- A track record of managing a team with at least three direct reports.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Experience working within a corporate environment.
- Comfort with delegation and multitasking.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a business mindset.
- Experience executing large and small productions, handling all facets of a producer's responsibilities.
- Experience with WorkFront and other production software.
- Some travel required to the west coast (30-40%, depending on the busy season).
