Associate Director HCP Personal Promo, HIV Prevention Marketing,

you will play a critical and exciting role in helping the US marketing organization support the current HIV prevention therapy and potentially launch future HIV prevention therapies, with a focus on injectable PrEP. This role will involve the development of the HCP Marketing personal promotion tactics. This role is based in

Foster City, CA , requiring on-site presence three days a week; remote or off-site work is not permitted. Responsibilities: Assists in developing product(s) strategy, messaging, field direction, and field meeting content/design. Contribute to the annual strategic and tactical plan for HIV prevention. Creates content and executes tactics according to strategy and actively looks to assess impact. Tactics may include sales aid/IVA, print leave-behinds, other field resources, conference tactics. Understands the nature of multiple data sources and is adept at developing, executing, and communicating plans based on insights and analysis. Utilizes a high level of business acumen in analyzing and coordinating activities based on identified industry trends, competitors' resources, and practices. Set priorities in continued complex and conflicting requirements circumstances and provide logical recommendations. Ensures that all marketing activities and materials are in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements and adhere to established internal SOPs. Develop and deliver presentations to a range of internal stakeholders and external audiences. Sets a positive example for others to follow – shares own expert knowledge – models standards of performance, offers guidance and support. Manage and support promotional budget and estimates for assigned efforts. Obtain approval for marketing materials by following an internal review process that involves managing reviews as well as Med-Legal-Reg, ultimately ensuring secure final production. Support HCP conferences, field ride-along, and agency meetings as needed; 15-20% travel required. Partners effectively cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Legal, Regulatory, Medical, Market Research, Analytics, Managed Markets, Sales Training, and other key internal stakeholders. Demonstrates broad and in-depth knowledge of multiple components of the marketing mix and leverages this to guide integrated execution and measurement of overall plan. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and Ten Years’ Experience OR Masters' Degree and Eight Years’ Experience OR PhD and Two Years’ Experience Preferred Qualifications: 10 years of pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience. In line marketing experience required, with field sales experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related fields preferred; MBA welcomed. Demonstrated excellence in project management including planning, prioritization, execution, analytical assessment, and performance management. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, interact, focus, resolve conflict, and drive consensus among individuals from a variety of cultures and disciplines. Excellent communications skills with an ability to effectively communicate both orally and written. Understanding of biopharmaceutical regulatory and business conduct requirements. The successful candidate will be highly collaborative, perceptive, and an analytical problem solver with a track record of success in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry. Should have a talent for creative thinking and problem-solving. Should adapt and succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Significant experience managing cross-functional teams or work groups preferred. Demonstrated capability to collaborate effectively within a team. They provide the support needed to remove barriers and connect their team to the broader ecosystem. The salary range for this position is: $195,670.00 - $253,220.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
