JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title Associate Producer Department IMG Studios Main Purpose of Job To support broadcast and digital content produced for MLS Season Pass on Apple TV as part of IMG’s production team. This role will create engaging and innovative live and non-live content that connects fans with Major League Soccer. Reports To Studio Producer Direct Reports N/A Indirect Reports Production Assistants Hours of Work Average 40 hours per week; flexibility required for nights, weekends, and holidays due to sports production schedules. Contract Type / Length Permanent Location Stamford, CT Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities The Role and What You’ll Do: The Associate Producer position will be responsible for creating content in support of MLS Season Pass studio programming. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of soccer, experience in television production, and a creative approach. Develop and execute story ideas for studio programming Follow nightly action and develop time-sensitive video content and graphics in live television environment Gather video content and produce elements as assigned Work with editors and tape operators to create video elements ranging from highlights to b-rolls to high-end teases and bumps Explore video databases and archives to obtain content for assigned shows Research and build necessary insert graphics as requested by show producers Support production team by assisting with quality control of video content, graphics, and scripts Monitor all on-air content to ensure accuracy and product standards Prioritize and distribute potentially complicated information within tight deadlines Utilize social media for developing stories, memorable statistics, and significant news You Have These: Skills and Experience Mandatory: Live sports TV production experience is a must Previous experience in live television tape and/or graphics roles Strong understanding of soccer, specifically MLS and its clubs, players, and history Excellent collaborative and communication skills Poise in time-sensitive and quick-turnaround environments Ability to determine worthy content that breaks through the noise Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks and take ownership of your workload Attention to detail, scale, instructions, and accuracy Good timekeeping and work ethic that is characterized by commitment, motivation, and energy Desirable: Experience creating video elements or graphics for digital or broadcast media. Knowledge of social media analytics tools and content performance optimization strategies. Core Attributes: Exceptional storytelling skills and creativity to produce content that resonates with fans. Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and take ownership of projects. Excellent collaborative and communication skills to work effectively with talent, teams, and stakeholders. Strong attention to detail and adherence to brand guidelines and creative direction. Ability to adapt quickly to changing narratives and events during live sports coverage. Travel: Travel may be required for on-site production or event coverage. Location: This role is based in Stamford, CT. The candidate should expect to be in the studio 4-5 days per week. Due to the nature of sports production, weekend work, including every Saturday, is required.
