We are seeking a visionary and experienced Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) (m/f/d) to lead our product marketing efforts and drive brand awareness, thought leadership, pipeline generation, customer acquisition, commercialization, and ultimately revenue and adoption growth within the supply chain management sector. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a deep understanding of technology marketing and a proven track record of success in a similar role. What your Organization will do: Strategic Marketing Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and product strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives. Ownership to ensure a seamless interlock between product strategy, execution plans, and external marketing communication. Conduct market research and analysis to identify target audiences, market trends, and competitive landscapes. Set marketing KPIs and track performance to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives. Develop and execute comprehensive event strategies that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and business growth. Oversee a team that conducts market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions. Plan, coordinate, and manage a diverse range of events, from large-scale conferences to intimate workshops. Ensure a seamless execution of the marketing strategy in interlock with regional marketing leadership. Brand Management: Build and maintain a strong brand identity and positioning for Supply Chain Management. Manage brand reputation and crisis communications. Demand and Pipeline Generation: Develop and implement effective demand generation strategies, including content marketing, e-mail marketing, social media marketing, and paid advertising. Collaborate with sales teams to generate qualified leads and drive pipeline growth. Content Marketing: Work closely with product and engineering teams to launch new products and features. Create high-quality product marketing materials, such as datasheets, whitepapers, and presentations. Customer Marketing: Build strong relationships with strategic customers and foster customer loyalty. Organizational Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing marketing organization. Recruit, hire, and develop top marketing talent. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product, engineering, and design teams to align marketing efforts with product development and customer needs. Ensure a seamless customer journey and track success along marketing KPIs. A thorough understanding of Supply Chain software solutions and processes, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to deconstruct critical components are required. Familiarity with working in a fast-paced, multi-cultural organization is necessary. What you bring: Extensive experience in marketing leadership roles, preferably within the supply chain or logistics industry. Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, channels, and tools. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making abilities. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to lead and inspire teams. A passion for innovation and a desire to push the boundaries of marketing. MBA or equivalent degree preferred. Typically requires 15+ years of experience in technology marketing, with a significant portion in supply chain or related industries. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 370,400 - 629,700 USD.
