Company Description

Our client is a designer and distributor of consumer products. Their products are sold in over 20,000 locations in 18 countries at major retailers and online. This is a full-time hybrid role for a Graphic Designer with flexibility for some remote work each week. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating new branding as well as refreshing designs including typography for various products.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive understanding of packaging design structures suitable for mass production
  • Effectively convey information on materials and packaging design to cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in creating design files aligned with production processes
  • Showcase a strong grasp of packaging design principles and material cost considerations
  • Continuously research market and consumer trends to inform innovative packaging designs and material choices
  • Extensive knowledge of materials and substrates used in the production process
  • Assimilate and execute action points from team meetings
  • Provide regular updates on project progress to the Packaging Manager
  • Collaborate with a dynamic and creative team on high-profile brands throughout the design process
  • Create and modify packaging die lines and mock-ups as required
  • Communicate project updates and requirements with the appropriate teams
  • Exhibit excellent time management skills to adhere to development schedules
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously


Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in packaging design within the consumer packaging industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, art, industrial design, or a related field preferred
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Experience developing original artwork and working with style guides
  • Exceptional graphic design skills paired with a flair for innovation and creativity
  • Solid working knowledge of printing processes, including 4-color printing, spot colors, mechanical preparation, paper stock, and file formats
  • Familiarity with print production requirements such as bleeds, die lines, retouching, formats, and resolution
