Our client is looking for candidates to join their Atlanta-based office as a Toy Product Designer

Working on their largest client, the Product Designer ideates, sketches, designs and executes design deliverables of toy promotional programs for a industry leading grocery and food service chains. Responsible for all aspects of delivering fresh product/toy designs, contemporary and compelling artwork used on toys and other kids’ activities, along with printed collateral (instruction sheets, infographics etc.). This role reports to the Creative Director.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Brainstorms new toy/program ideas - Seeks unexpected, original and innovative product design and communications solutions with general direction from the Creative Director

Collaborates in the creative/concept development of kids’ promotional toy programs

Brings creative concepts to life through bold, exciting, leading edge product design solutions

• Plans and organizes the development and execution of product along with visual design elements for all programs
• Ensures the delivery of assigned projects to required quality levels on schedule and within approved budget
• Reviews product design on assigned projects for compliance with creative quality standards
• Occasionally presents to company executives and external business clients with and without the aid of presentations materials
• Stays current with kids’ culture and trends

Qualifications:

Bachelors in Product Design or equivalent, and 3-5 years’ experience designing and directing all aspects of the creative project lifecycle including toy/product and print processes with a toy company, promotional toy agency, design studio or in-house art/creative dept

Demonstrated talent for product design; ability to sketch/illustrate toy and other product ideas

Kids' toy and or marketing experience is a huge plus

Page Layout skills and good color sense a must

Ability to work with a client style guide preferred

Capability to innovate and design independently as well as brainstorming with a team

Ability to present work internally or externally to client

Positive, can-do attitude and effective team-player; must have a good attitude with revisions and feedback

Consumer of pop culture and everything kids!

History of working with a product development team

Ability to work quickly and manage multiple projects at once, while keeping strict deadlines

Experience managing freelance resources and budget

Must be proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Presentation Programs

Experience using 3D design programs a huge plus

Portfolio must show good product design and graphic design layout skills
