Design & Innovation Leader

We are seeking a Design & Innovation Leader to drive design, testing, and implementation efforts across our healthcare system. This role partners with clinical teams, support operations, technology, and strategy groups to lead projects that deliver personalized, seamless experiences for patients, caregivers, and families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the design process for assigned projects, collaborating with users and stakeholders.
• Partner with leadership to align on strategic experience design goals and processes.
• Facilitate integration across disciplines, ensuring consistent and exceptional experiences from concept to implementation.
• Manage cross-functional teams to reduce complexity and enhance user experiences.

What You’ll Do:

• Own and oversee all aspects of assigned design projects.
• Develop and deliver digital and non-digital solutions to improve patient and caregiver experiences.
• Apply design thinking and project management throughout the lifecycle of each initiative, from research to operational integration.
• Conduct and manage user research, including literature reviews, direct observations, and stakeholder engagement.
• Create, test, and refine prototypes with end users to ensure solutions meet their needs.
• Communicate design decisions effectively using research, personas, journey maps, storytelling, and presentations.
• Develop methods for measuring experience outcomes, incorporating baselines, evaluations, and adjustments into design plans.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in healthcare, innovation, product, service, or engineering design.
• Proven success in user experience or product design, including cross-functional projects from scope definition to implementation.
• Proficiency with visual design and digital prototyping tools.
• Understanding of the U.S. healthcare system and its user experience challenges.
• Experience engaging diverse stakeholder groups with varying needs and values.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Strong project management and documentation skills, including proficiency with standardized tools and templates.
• Ability to align design initiatives with strategic objectives.
• Expertise in facilitating discussions on complex design issues with cross-functional teams.

Employment Type: Contract

The salary range for this position is $45 to $60 per hour.
