Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; this position will be eligible for one/two days a week remote work environment after a training period and at the discretion of the supervisor. This is subject to change at any time at the discretion of the supervisor.

About the Department
The Department of Risk Assessment’s mission is to foster a safe campus community for those directly and indirectly connected to NC State. The Department of Risk Assessment furthers this mission by focusing on two primary areas of responsibility with respect to safety concerns:
- Identifying, de-escalating and decreasing the potential for violent activity and/or concerning or threatening behavior in students, staff, faculty, or non-affiliated individuals under the Violence Prevention and Threat Management (VPTM) unit.
- Promoting the safety of youth participating in NC State activities through a comprehensive compliance program.
Having an informed and knowledgeable campus community is a critical component to the mission of the Department of Risk Assessment. Our department offers a number of training and educational opportunities on a variety of topics and provides information on reporting responsibilities, resources, and how to help. Participation in training is strongly encouraged, and in some cases mandatory for management level staff and/or those hosting programs for minors. Safety is a community responsibility. Position Overview
The Marketing Manager for the Risk Assessment for the Wolfpack Behavior Assessment and Threat Management Project will be responsible for strategic development and execution of a comprehensive marketing and communications plan. Key in developing a consistent brand image that is innovative, dynamic and reflective of NC State’s Department of Risk Assessment and the Wolfpack Behavior Assessment and Threat Management Project.
This position will be essential to the success of the social awareness, bystander awareness training, and digital marketing campaign. The person that serves in this role will need to be creative and able to develop unique promotional material and gain access to our campus partners. This position will develop creative content (i.e., special visual effects, animation, narration, and sound effects, editing features, database of resources, and additional graphics to increase engagement and bystander awareness), assist with the department newsletter, and manage updates to the department website, including development and management of the grant website. Work with team members in developing and implementing marketing programs and materials to attract and engage the community through a variety of media including but not limited to print, web, and social media.
This position will be involved in the research, planning, and will coordinate and manage projects from the storyboard to the details of the shoots, to the deployment phase. It will be vital for this position to develop core relationships with other marketing managers/communications specialists across the University to accomplish program outcomes necessary for this grant.
Overall, the marketing manager conceptualizes, executes, and oversees the creation of all marketing, communications and print material on behalf of the NC State Department of Risk Assessment.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
- Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in a closely related field that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities needed in the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Other Required Qualifications
- Expertise in graphic design for print and digital platforms, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) or similar software.
- Experience with video and video editing software.
- Experience with WordPress for website content management and updates.
- Demonstrated knowledge of national trends and best practices in marketing and communications.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with initiative, critical and creative thinking.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate, develop partnerships and work effectively as a member of a fast-paced, results-oriented team.
- Experience designing custom logos, signage, posters, print materials, social media graphics, and other marketing assets.
- Ability to manage multiple design projects and deliver on time while maintaining brand consistency.
- Experience working with internal stakeholders to develop design concepts and produce high-quality materials for various purposes, including promotional materials, strategic plans, and event marketing.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.
Required License(s) or Certification(s)
- Valid NC Driver's License within 60 days of hire.
