Job Title: Web Developer
Location: Remote (with potential occasional travel)
Employment Type: Full-Time (2,080 hours annually)

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Web Developer to join our team supporting a USAID project focused on Private Sector Engagement (PSE) and localization training and consultation services. This role involves designing, maintaining, and enhancing web-based training modules, online repositories, and related digital content to support USAID’s Acquisition and Assistance (A&A) workforce. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain web-based training modules, toolkits, and other digital resources for USAID’s PSE program.
  2. Update and enhance the PSE Repository, ensuring resources are accessible, up-to-date, and aligned with USAID policies.
  3. Collaborate with subject matter experts and trainers to create interactive, user-friendly e-learning tools and resources.
  4. Develop and maintain online case studies, white papers, and multimedia learning materials, including infographics, videos, and animations.
  5. Ensure all web content complies with USAID branding and accessibility standards.
  6. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, optimizing website performance and functionality.
  7. Stay abreast of web development trends and integrate innovative features to enhance user engagement.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
  2. Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in web development, preferably with a focus on e-learning or training platforms.
  3. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relevant content management systems.
  4. Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and multimedia production.
  5. Strong understanding of user experience (UX) design and accessibility standards.
  6. Familiarity with USAID programs, branding guidelines, or government contracts is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience developing interactive learning tools (e.g., gamified learning modules, simulations).
  2. Knowledge of SCORM or other e-learning standards.
  3. Familiarity with USAID’s Collaborate, Learn, & Adapt (CLA) approach or similar frameworks.
  4. Ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and work collaboratively with diverse teams.

Work Environment:

  1. Primarily remote
  2. Occasional travel may be necessary to USAID headquarters in Washington, D.C.
