Job Description The Dermatology Strategic Marketing Director leads the development and execution of commercial plans to maintain market leadership in an increasingly competitive landscape. This leader will work closely with multiple IBTs to ensure success in development of strategy, creative and execution plans, product support and sales execution. The Director is responsible for developing professional education strategy and managing medical education marketing activities for Skyrizi and RINVOQ in Dermatology. The Director develops, implements, and maintains accountability for interactions and feedback with External Experts. The Director works in a team-based environment to lead the development and execution of brand strategies and implementation of innovative tactics to maximize brand sales, market share, and profitability. This leader has an enterprise mindset and can anticipate and adapt to quickly changing market priorities. Responsibilities Provide in-depth insights based on product/market assessments, monitoring progress against brand milestones, and assimilation of key stakeholder feedback with quantitative analysis to make strategic recommendations for optimal brand performance. Identify, build, and strengthen commercial relationships with External Experts (EEs) and emerging leaders, as well as relationships with relevant patient and professional associations. Engage with EEs and attend key medical congresses to garner a better understanding of the medical condition and customer needs. Provide direction to the Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) ADs and TLL team to understand customer insights to develop and optimize innovative marketing resources based on regional market dynamics. Develop the advisory board strategy and lead the team on the development, content, and execution of advisories throughout the year to garner a stronger understanding of customer priorities and unmet needs. Develop congress and convention strategy and booth execution. Articulate high-impact medical education marketing strategies that are innovative, executable, and clinically/financially supported. Identify problems proactively and conceptualize solutions using creativity and innovation. Lead competitive intelligence and preparation planning, ensuring awareness and effective strategies are in place to respond to changing market dynamics. Track and manage the marketing budget. Manage multiple projects to deliver high-quality work products in a timely fashion. Manage a team of 21, with 6 direct reports.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field required. MBA preferred. Previous Thought Leader Liaison experience a plus. Previous sales/marketing experience required; 7+ years marketing experience. Management experience leading cross-functional teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Demonstrated use of critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting Pharmaceutical Products. Travel up to 25%.
