Growing together.The essential functions of a Pharmacist Manager in Prior Authorization is to supervise the daily activities and tasks performed by a team of Clinicians, monitoring the operations of our business unit and provide direction to our employees. This is a dynamic work environment and requires flexibility to meet business needs and adaptability to frequent changes. Teamwork is the norm and all employees will be held accountable to work as effective team members.This position is for a Pharmacist Manager working in the Prior Authorization unit within the Prior Authorization department of OptumRx, a UnitedHealth Group company.This is a call center based business segment and strict work guidelines are employed. The Pharmacist Manager primary role is supporting their Clinician team and supporting the business by solving operational challenges as they arise and share their expertise and judgment in a fast paced and dynamic environment.You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:Position coordinates, supervises and is accountable for the daily operations as well as daily activities and performance of team (20-25 staff)Provides leadership, direction, and guidance to the team to ensure quality, productivity, and regulatory / contractual goals and requirements are metProvides a positive work environment and achieves creativity and teamwork among employeesSets team direction, resolves problems and provides guidance to teamEnsures policy and procedures are appropriately followed. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
