CareSTL Health is seeking a Grant Writer. The Grant Writer is responsible for researching and writing proposals in response to approved RFPs in alignment with the organization’s mission, vision, and core values.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Grant Writer is responsible for researching and writing proposals in response to approved RFPs in alignment with the organization’s mission, vision, and core values.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The following information is considered the definition of essential functions but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. The Grant Writer may be reassigned duties and responsibilities at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other staffing reasons.
- Write and edit proposals and concept papers in response to RFPs as well as attend off-site meetings, seminars, and conferences related to primary responsibilities.
- Research funding opportunities (e.g., monitor websites and other media outlets for relevant RFPs).
- Manage a calendar of RFP deadlines.
- Research demographic and other quantitative information in support of proposals; coordinate timely submissions of proposals.
- Provide information needed for the preparation of budgets to the Chief Financial Officer or his/her designee.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- BA, BS required with preferred coursework in Business, Finance, Accounting, and/or Marketing.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years experience in government grant-writing in a nonprofit environment and demonstrated record of success in securing government grants preferred.
- Familiarity with City, State, and Federal funding sources.
Additional Information:
- Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
