The Cook & Boardman Group, LLC is hiring: Lead Audio Visual Technician in Hutto

This position is responsible for the set up and operation of basic / large-scale audiovisual systems.

Essential Functions

1. Design, plan and install AV systems.
2. Provide AV installation project oversight and updates.
3. Inventory AV devices and materials intended for installation.
4. Test and verify functionality of newly installed AV systems.
5. Perform AV system maintenance and repair as needed.
6. Other relative duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

1. OSHA 30
2. CTS-I
3. Must possess at least a high school diploma or GED equivalency.
4. Formal education in electronics or a related field preferred.
5. Excellent experience with audiovisual or other electro-mechanical installation techniques, or field servicing.
6. Experience working in public places (schools, city/state offices, etc.).
7. Industry certifications (Panduit, Systimax, BICSI, etc.).
8. Valid driver’s license required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

1. Proven ability to lead both small and large groups of other technicians.
2. Proven ability to effectively organize project communications, deliverables, and workflow.
3. Proven ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
4. Familiarity with MS Office suite and other software suites applicable to the role.
5. Advanced industry/manufacturer certifications/trainings.
6. Ability to track and document red line drawings.
7. Commissioning and troubleshooting of audio systems.
8. Ability to resolve conflict both internal and external.
9. Ability to create a team atmosphere.

Physical Demands
Spends more than 2/3 of time standing, kneeling/crouching/stooping, using hands and reaching. Spends approximately 1/3 of time walking and talking/hearing. Frequent lifting required of items 25-50 pounds, and occasional lifting over 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Work Environment
Conditions will include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware. Subject to frequent heavy lifting. May require driving to project sites. May be exposed to variable weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.
