This position is responsible for the setup and operation of basic to large-scale audiovisual systems.
Essential Functions
- Installation and de-installation of AV products.
- Configuration of endpoints and infrastructure.
- Preparation of room audits to ensure technology functions optimally.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and rooms.
- Identify defective or failed equipment and provide solutions.
- Complete Post Installation Assessments.
- Perform on-site User Acceptance testing.
- Install software upgrades.
- Communicate with management regarding assignments.
- Report and update project progress.
- Travel to customer sites as required.
- Design, plan, and install AV systems.
- Oversee AV installation projects and provide updates.
- Inventory AV devices and materials.
- Test and verify functionality of installed AV systems.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on AV systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- No or limited experience required.
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
- Understanding of safety procedures.
- Punctuality and consistent attendance.
- Willingness to learn and ask questions.
- OSHA 10 certification.
- Valid US driver’s license.
- Experience in similar roles is preferred but not required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to terminate and test category and fiber optic cables.
- Basic knowledge of low voltage principles.
- Ability to read blueprints and diagrams.
- Effective communication with clients and team members.
- Willingness to mentor junior technicians.
Physical Demands
Majority of time spent standing, kneeling, using hands, reaching. Lifting items 25-50 lbs frequently, over 50 lbs occasionally. Accommodations available for disabilities.
Work Environment
Work near heavy machinery, tools, and hardware. May involve driving, exposure to weather conditions.
