The Digital Content Designer is responsible for developing and executing Carilion Clinic's digital content strategy. This includes creating and managing content for Carilion Clinic public facing websites and landing pages. The Digital Content Designer will work with the marketing and communications team to develop strategies and content to engage with patients, providers, and other stakeholders on the web and to coordinate cross-channel content. The Digital Content Designer will also work with the Digital Services and TSG teams as well as outside vendors on website build and enhancement projects to properly plan and create the content needed for these projects.
- Develop and execute Carilion Clinic's digital content strategy for all public facing websites and landing pages.
- Work with the marketing and communications team (including social media and content team members) to develop strategies and content for engaging with patients, providers, and other stakeholders through digital channels.
- Write, edit and review/approve content for the Carilion Clinic websites and landing pages.
- Work with the Digital Services team on website build and enhancement projects to plan and create the content needed.
- Track and analyze the performance of digital content campaigns.
- Stay up to date on the latest trends and best practices in digital content marketing.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts across the organization to ensure that content is accurate, informative, and engaging.
- Ensure that content across the website aligns with the organization's brand and messaging guidelines as well as industry best practice and stakeholder feedback.
- Develop and maintain content style guides, editorial standards, and best practices. Train team members who write/manage pages on the Carilion website.
What We Require:
Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
Experience: 3 + years of experience in digital content marketing and writing/editing web pages in the healthcare industry.
Other Minimum Qualifications:
- A strong understanding of website best practices, including content, SEO, and user experience.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Creative and innovative thinker.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Experience working with content management systems (CMS).
