Design Specialist

Responsibilities:

1. Utilize design software and perform basic design engineering tasks to support underground and overhead electrical distribution projects.
2. Submit, manage, and maintain permits as required by project needs.
3. Manage workload, projects, and assist in the production of plans, specifications, reports, diagrams, and engineering documents from preliminary scope to construction status.
4. Travel up to 20% max for field visits, project data collection, and construction coordination & verification.

Required Qualifications:

1. 1-5 years in electric distribution (4kV - 69kV) performing drafting and/or CAD design tasks.
2. Experience utilizing GIS mapping software.
3. Ability to travel up to 20%.
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
5. Ability to be a self-starter and work well with minimal supervision.
