Assigned Location: Oakridge Lower Elementary

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

The knowledge, skills, and abilities below are typically acquired through a combination of experience and education equivalent to a minimum of an Associate’s degree (Associate’s degree preferred):

  1. Strong interpersonal skills.
  2. Willingness and ability to work successfully and enthusiastically with faculty and students under the supervision of the building administrator.
  3. Computer literate (skills assessment may be requested):
    1. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and educational software.
    2. Knowledge of Follett Circulation or other library automation software preferred.
    3. Knowledge of Accelerated Reader/STAR Reader software applications.

Ability to understand and perform routine library procedures.

Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions.

Ability to communicate and follow instructions.

Willingness to keep abreast of changing technologies and to assume new responsibilities required by the introduction of new services and equipment.

Demonstrated ability to work independently.

Good organizational skills.

Prefer experience working in a library.

Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

Hours of Work:

9:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. M, W, Th, F and 10:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Tu; when school is in session or as directed.
