Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or coordinating role.
- Familiarity with Makerspace equipment and operations.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in using scheduling and ticketing systems.
- Possess the keyboarding skills necessary to perform successfully in this position.
- Ability to perform the functions consistent with intermediate word processing and intermediate spreadsheet as demonstrated by a skills assessment.
- Experience with training and mentoring students is advantageous.

Position Purpose
The Library Makerspace Coordinator will play a vital role in overseeing and coordinating the operations of the Makerspace at Kresge Library. This multifaceted role involves managing scheduling, coordinating hiring processes, training student assistants, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, and providing support to patrons. The Makerspace Coordinator will be responsible for developing new procedures, supervising documentation, evaluating performance, and maintaining inventory. This role also includes marketing duties. This position plays a crucial role in promoting the library’s services, resources, and events to the community. This position involves a variety of tasks aimed at increasing awareness, engagement, and usage of library facilities and programs.
