Onondaga Community College, located in Syracuse, NY, is a college of the State University of New York (SUNY) system and one of 30 locally sponsored community colleges throughout New York State. Coulter Library needs assistance at the reserve and circulation desks.
Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Checking books and other items in and out,
- shelving, booking & maintaining the study rooms,
- and any other assigned duties that may arise.
Requirements:
- Must be a Work-Study Eligible Student in good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher).
- Good communication skills; punctual, must have a complete understanding of alphabetical and numerical order, basic familiarity with computers, attention to detail.
- Previous experience in a library setting preferred, but not mandatory.
- Physically, this position requires reaching and bending; to re-shelve books
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. English and another language will be considered.
Additional Information:
- Pay Rate: $15.00 /hr
To see if you qualify for Federal Work Study (FWS) positions:
Work Study Aides may work up to 20 hours per week while classes are in session.
- Additional hours may be worked during college breaks.
The library hours are:
- Monday - Thursday 8:30am - 8:00pm
- Friday - 8:30am - 4:30pm
- Saturday - 12:00pm - 4:00pm
- Sunday - 2:00pm - 6:00pm
