Job Description

The Stacks Management Team provides accurate, managed items that are easily accessible to users of Bizzell Memorial Library and its collections.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Shelving books
  2. Picking up books left out of place
  3. Measuring incoming and outgoing materials
  4. Shelfreading, straightening, and dusting materials
  5. Assisting patrons looking for books and referring other questions to other library and university departments
  6. Searching for missing books
  7. Shifting portions of the collection
  8. Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Required Education: You must be enrolled in the Spring term as a student in good standing at the University of Oklahoma. Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.

Must attach Spring 2025 OU class schedule.

Skills:

  • Effective communication skills
  • Basic computer skills

Advertised Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to push, lift and pull up to 50 pounds.

Department Preferences:

  • Valid Driver's License.
