Part Time Music Teacher Job at LA Catholics in Hawthorne

Saint Joseph School is located in the heart of Hawthorne and has served our community for over 90 years. We are seeking an energetic and talented music teacher for our current school year. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore their musical potential, foster a love for music, and contribute to a vibrant, creative learning environment. This position offers the opportunity to teach music classes ranging from TK to 8th grade while also encouraging students to develop both their musical skills and appreciation for the arts. We believe that music education plays a vital role in shaping well-rounded individuals and are dedicated to providing a comprehensive and supportive learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teach group music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels.
2. Design and implement lesson plans that are engaging, educational, and aligned with curriculum standards.
3. Provide instruction in theory, performance, history, and appreciation of music.
4. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
5. Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and administrators.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or related field preferred.
2. Experience as a Music Teacher or Instructor, preferably in a school or educational setting preferred.

Wage Range: The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
