Music Pastor and Education Job Description:

The worship and education pastor is responsible for the planning, development, and promotion of music/worship and education programs of the church.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Be present for regularly scheduled church services.
2. Assist the Pastor in planning worship services.
3. Maintain a music library, materials, supplies, and musical instruments.
4. Direct and oversee all choirs.
5. Facilitate music experiences through Easter/Christmas cantatas.
6. Serve as the overseer of the Sunday school, small groups, and Vacation Bible School directors.
7. Serve as a music resource for church functions.
8. Cooperate with associational, state, and denominational organizations.
9. Actively participate in church outreach programs.
10. Prepare the annual budget for Music and Education programs and administer the approved budget.
11. Be accountable to the Pastor.

Spiritual Prerequisites:

1. Have a testimony that reflects Jesus as Lord and Savior.
2. Have a commitment to personal spiritual growth and development.
3. Be willing to model the standards and expectations of staff of Pinecrest Baptist Church.

The full-time staff position salary amount will be determined by education and experience.
