At Camp Hoblitzelle, we’re searching for young musicians who are passionate about serving, learning, and being part of an uplifting team. As a Junior Instructor, you’ll assist in daily music classes, focusing on brass, piano, guitar, and percussion. Your role will be essential in creating a fun, safe, and supportive camp experience for everyone.

Key responsibilities:
- Supervision and Guidance:
- Provides guidance and positive role modeling to campers, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Assists in activities for the assigned group of campers in alignment with the class schedule.
- Demonstrates Christian values and principles in all interactions.
- Demonstrates effective camper behavior management and utilizes appropriate communication and discipline techniques.
- Promotes and stimulates camper participation to enhance their overall camp experience.
- Classroom Management:
- Enforces compliance with camp rules, safety, and health regulations within the classroom.
- Maintains a positive atmosphere during class time, encouraging conversation and camaraderie among campers.
- Assists in preparing lesson plans for each class assigned.
- Community Engagement:
- Sits with camper tables during meals, serving as a table monitor.
- Actively participates in classes when not in a leadership role.
- Participates enthusiastically in all-camp activities and special events.
- Embark on a transformative journey as a participant in the Service and Leadership Training (MIRA) program.
- Actively promotes and embodies the values of Camp Hoblitzelle's summer camp program.
- Integrates faith into daily activities, contributing to the spiritual growth of campers.
- Program & Activities Assistance:
- Assists with camp program activities and other assigned tasks.
- Promotes quality of programs and safety of campers.
- Engages in ministry duties, including sharing approved devotional content.
- Safety and Security:
- Ensures the safety of campers during all camp activities.
- Reports all accidents to supervisors promptly.
What we are looking for in you:
- Must be at least 15-17 years old.
- A heart for others and a mind towards Christ.
- Should be self-motivated and teachable.
- Prior knowledge in Child Education or similar field is recommended.
- A willingness to abide by Camp Hoblitzelle’s doctrinal statement and policies.
- CPR & First Aid Certified or willing to obtain certification.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Some physical requirements of the Jr. Instructor position include endurance, climbing, standing, bending, and stretching. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying environmental conditions.

Camp Staff Training and Orientation will be held 06/02/2025 – 06/08/2025. Participation is required. The 2025 summer Camp program session will be held 06/09/2025 – 07/13/2025.
